The Byzantine Latino Quarter–Pico Business Improvement District (BLQ BID) is proud to announce our upcoming 2025 Board Elections, which will take place at our final public meeting of the year:

This is a crucial opportunity for our stakeholders to shape the leadership and future direction of the BID, and ensure our district continues to thrive for years to come.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sam Luster, our current Board President, for his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the BLQ community. Sam’s years of service have helped elevate the BID’s mission, and we are deeply grateful for his dedication.

These roles are central to how the BLQ BID functions: directing funding, setting priorities, and shaping the programs that serve our local businesses and property owners.
Who Can Run?
Any individual who represents a business or property within the BLQ-Pico BID boundaries is eligible to run for an officer position. You must be present at the December 10 meeting in order to be nominated and participate in the election.

How the Election Will Work
This meeting will be held in a public, open forum where all stakeholders are invited to attend, participate, and offer public comment.
During the meeting:
Eligible stakeholders can nominate themselves or others.
Nominees will be invited to share a brief statement about their experience and vision.
Anonymous votes will be cast by eligible stakeholders and current board members in attendance.
The results will determine our 2025 Board President, Vice President, and Secretary.

The BLQ BID Board is responsible for implementing the Management District Plan, which includes:

Small business support
Community safety initiatives
Long-term economic development
